Day 2 Day Living Skills
Lamp Inc has for the past ten years been successfully providing high quality, not for profit, community based consumer and carers support services to people with a diagnosed mental illness living in the Vasse-Leeuwin area. Day 2 Day living skills supports clients in their endeavours to live independently and live well by giving them a range of strategies and skills suited to their individual needs.
Day to Day living in the community is a program which is designed :
- to provide living skills in an organised and structured environment for people who suffer with any form of diagnosed mental illness.
- to reduce the amount of time spent in social isolation.
- to promote their quality of life by developing new skills, social networks, involvement in community activities, develop confidence and accomplish personal goals.
The programs run seven days a week in Busselton and for four days in Margaret River. The Day 2 Day program works in conjunction with the Lamp Indirect carer respite support programs.
Programs
The programs are very much designed around members' needs. These will include but are not restricted to :
- Cooking Groups,
- Anger Management,
- Relaxation Strategies,
- Communication Training,
- Healthy Living Skills,
- Money Matters,
- Arts & Crafts,
- Social Activities / Day Trips,
- Horticulture,
- Music,
- Yoga; and
- Mindfulness Groups.


Referral to Lamp consumer services can be made through the South West Mental Health Services Offices, your GP or Private Psychologist, Psychiatrist or Counsellor or self referal with Lamp Inc by calling 9754 1834.
