As part of Mental Health Week 2011 Room 226, supported by Lamp Inc will be hosting a Youth Community Stress Less event in Mitchell Park on Wednesday the 12th of October, from 10am to 2pm.
We plan to have a youth orientated explosion of creativity and fun for youth and community members to be involved in.
Through the activities available on the day young people will be given the opportunity to express themselves in a positive manner and transfer these tools to release stress into all aspects of their school, home, social and work lives.
Express Yourself
What: Throw, squirt and splash paint at giant canvases, enjoy some music and FOOD
Why: Stress is a part of all of our lives and can have a negative affect on us if we don’t release some of it. This day is a perfect time to release some stress or tension and most importantly celebrate being young and having FUN.
Who: All young people are invited to attend this explosion of creativity. Contribute to the giant canvas of life using paint and dye to express yourself. Members in the community also welcome .
