The Friends Of Lamp
With the introduction of the "Friends Of Lamp", clients and carers have become instrumental in creating a strong network between themselves and the service providers.
Enables both consumers and carer groups to be represented on the Lamp management committee.
Through its fund raising activities, "Friends Of Lamp" supports and finances regular carer retreats and client holiday programs.
Friends Of Lamp is also the official fundraising group for Lamp Inc.
Friends Of Lamp encourages client self-valorisation and offers advocacy to its members.
Friends Of Lamp provides the following services :
- Social Activities for all Members include :
- Friendships
- Involvement in mental health week, held in October every year, and many other mental health celebrations and events.
- Fund raising to assist with service expansion and social activities.
- The Friends Of Lamp help out around the centres with activities and maintenance.
Referral to Lamp consumer services can be made through the South West Mental Health Services Offices, your GP or Private Psychologist, Psychiatrist or Counsellor or self referal with Lamp Inc by calling 9754 1834.
